Diana Cohen Altman

Diana Cohen Altman is a longtime Washington, D.C.-area cultural professional. As an exhibition writer at the Smithsonian Institution, she developed an expertise in traveling exhibitions. While at the Smithsonian, she received an Educational Outreach grant to give talks on her publishing activities as editor of the National Association for Museum Exhibition magazine. She also received an Artist-at-Work award for her original textile design. As director of the B’nai B’rith Klutznick Museum and Lax Archive, she founded the B’nai B’rith Center for Jewish Culture.
Ms. Altman has served on numerous boards, including the National Association for Museum Exhibition, the Women in Museums Network, the Museum Education Roundtable, and the Art. Deco Society of Greater Washington. She has written for numerous publications, including Moment, Curator, and Museum News magazines. Ms. Altman has lived in Bermuda, Greece, Bangladesh, Ecuador, and Sweden, and has traveled extensively. She holds a B.A. in anthropology from Vassar College. In her free time, Ms. Altman volunteers in public schools in her community in the Washington, D.C., area, and enjoys traveling with her husband and two sons.

Kelsey King

Kelsey King graduated from the George Washington University with a B.A. in art history. Before joining the Karabakh Foundation staff, Kelsey worked for several art organizations in D.C. While working at the Aaron Gallery, the Pink Line Project, and Bettmann Dances, Kelsey developed expertise in cultural event planning, marketing and publicity, and project management. She spent the summer of 2011 serving as the exhibit coordinator for a pending online exhibit at the Karabakh Foundation before joining the staff full-time.
With a lifelong interest in art and culture, she has traveled extensively across Europe and Africa. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys distance running and exploring D.C.’s many artistic and culinary treasures.
Joshua Noonan
Program Officer, Liaison to the Azerbaijani Community

Joshua Noonan is a native of Nebraska and has a B.A. in International Business and Political Science from the University of Nebraska – Omaha. He has studied in Japan, Finland and has worked extensively in Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Georgia and Azerbaijan. In Azerbaijan Joshua first served as a US Peace Corps Community Economic Development Adviser and then conducted Azeri ethnographic research as a Fulbright Fellow in both Azerbaijan and Georgia. He recently completed recruiting in Azerbaijan and Ukraine for the Future Leaders Exchange Program managed by the American Councils for International Education. Joshua speaks Azeri, Russian and Japanese and enjoys participating in conversation clubs, reading biographies and spending time with his two nephews.
