The Azerbaijani Language Initiative is an educational project of the Karabakh Foundation. Through the ALI, the Karabakh Foundation studies and calls attention to Azerbaijani; which is now considered a critical language. Due to the Azerbaijani communities close involvement in the Azerbaijani Language Initiative, ALI activities additionally assist in the advancement of non-native speakers' English abilities. Activities include the following:

• Azerbaijani language classes
• Conversation clubs with native speakers
• Translation of Azerbaijani films into English
• Supplementary cultural programs
